Devil Ball Best Shot

Join Lacoma for our annual Devil Ball Best Shot on Sunday, July 9! This devilishly fun and strategic Team Golf event features a combination of individual and team golf play.

On each hole of the Devil Ball Best Shot, one player plays the Devil Ball, solo. The remaining golfers play in the three player best shot (scramble) format. The team combines the Devil Ball and Best Shot scores for each hole. Each team member must play the Devil Ball on a minimum of four holes so there’s loads of strategy in picking the best Devil Ball player for each hole. And Lacoma awards prizes by flight, so everyone has a chance to score a win !

Venue: Lacoma Golf Blue Course
Format: 18 hole, Devil Ball Golf Best Shot
Tee Times: 8 AM to 2 PM
Entry Fee: $54 per player for non-members. Members pay $15 plus applicable cart fees.

Big Cup Best Shot Golf Events (Blue Course)

Our second Big Cup best shot golf event of the Spring will be staged on our premier Blue course. We will stage two separate four-player Big Cup events on Saturday, April 29th, and Sunday, April 30th.In this format, our large, putter-friendly 8” Big Cups are offset by challenging hole locations on the green. This event will be our final Big Cup event until Fall, so assemble your team now!

Big Cup Best Cup events are flighted so everyone has a chance to win!

Venue: Blue course

Timing: April 29 & 30 via tee times starting at 8 AM.

Format: 18 hole, four player best shot using 8″ cups

Fees: $54 per player for green, cart, event and skin game fees (members pay $15 plus applicable cart fees).

Labor Day Weekend Best Shot Golf

Autumn golf approaches and to kick off the Fall golf season Lacoma will stage a full slate of fun, best shot golf events each day of Labor Day weekend. Each of these events will be staged on our premier, 18 hole Blue course with tee times starting at 8:00 AM. The total entry cost for these events is $51 per player ($15 plus cart fees for members) and this includes green fees, cart fees, and prizes. Prizes are awarded by flight so everyone has a chance to win!

Event Line-up (see below for detailed descriptions)

Saturday, September 3: Four-player best shot
Sunday, September 4: Four-player, best shot
Monday, September 5: Four-player, Step Back Best Shot

Event Details

Step Back Best Shot: In this four-player best shot format, each team plays from the Red tees on the first hole. If the team makes a birdie or better on that hole, they “step back” to the White tees on the second hole. For the remainder of the front nine, birdie or better scores result in the team stepping back to the next hardest tee. Par will allow you to remain on your current tee box while bogey+ allows you to move up a tee box on the next hole. Play resets at hole 10 and the process is followed again on the back nine. Mercifully, at Lacoma, you can’t step back further than the Blue tees. 2022 Heaven and Hell Best Shot Event

Lacoma will hold the Annual Heaven and Hell golf event on Sunday, August 14.

This 18 hole, four-player best shot (scramble) event will be played on our Red/Gold course. The Red course will be set up by our golfer-friendly PGA Pro so the front nine will be fun and friendly. On the back nine, golfers will be at the mercy of our diabolical superintendent so the pin placements will be…. unorthodox.

The Heaven and Hell golf event entry fees are $51 per player ($15 plus applicable cart fees for pass holders) and include green fees, cart fees, and a prize fund. Prizes will be awarded by flight so everyone has a chance to win!
